Info for Families

My Values:

I believe in the importance of human connection. We are wired for connection and it is through our relationships that we can heal, learn, and grow. I value the importance of research-informed practice, while also learning from the families I serve. I value multidisciplinary collaboration and empathic, family-centered care to best serve my clients. I am a passionate advocate for high-quality mental health care that is equitable and accessible to all.

A Bit About Me:

I was born in the Netherlands and welcomed to Canada as a young child. I grew up and studied in Calgary. My favourite things about living in Alberta are the spirit of caring for one’s neighbours and the beautiful natural parks in this province. I love to explore the mountains through all seasons with my partner and our children. I acknowledge that I live and work on the traditional Treaty 7 lands of Southern Alberta.

What 15 Years as a Psychologist Has Taught Me...

There is incredible strength in even the youngest of humans. There is amazing resilience in families who are facing difficult and heart-crushing life situations. We are made to do hard things, but not in isolation. Attachment and connection remain key needs through the lifespan, and it is through relationships that there is healing. With compassionate mental health guidance, science-informed practice, and a community of support - we know families can not just survive but thrive.

I would be honoured to be a part of your journey.
